Houston Polo Club kicked off three weeks of 4-goal Sunday matches on June 14^th with the Lenny e Cia Cup and a summer theme that was in keeping with the day’s hot and humid weather. In the first match, CCR’s Brian Middleton (3), Carin Middleton (0), Daren Livingston (1), and Colleen Marks/Jenny Sharrock (split position, -1) held off Sirius Solutions’ Cody Woodfin (3), Steve Krueger (2), Kourosh Kahkeshani (-1) and Rebecca Bollenbach (-1) with an 8-7 win, decided by a last-minute goal by Brian Middleton. During half time, Houston Audi Dealers kept the polo fan entertained with a summer fashion show featuring designer Zingara. In the day’s second match, HPC’s Nick Cifuni (3), Kristy Outhier (2), Tommy Dorsey (0), and Tiffany Clifton/Liz Lary (split position, -1) fell to for Pegasus’ Anne Andras (-1), Jeff Wood (0), Wayne Kvalsik (3), and C.J. Lequirica (1). Pegasus won the match 9-4.
