The Houston Polo Club wrapped up the USPA Regional President’s Cup Finals on June 7 with an 8 Goal match between Isla Carrol and Tonkawa Farms. Chris “Superman” Nevins (4) and Sergio Silvestre (3) of Isla Carrol, along with C.B. Schearer (0) and John Goodman (1), took an early lead and kept it against Tonkawa’s Paul Hobby (1), Jeff Hildebrand (0), Jamie Mirikitani (4) and Jimmy Seward (3). Isla Carrol finished the day with a 12-9 victory over Tonkawa. Awards were presented by Oliver Luck of the Houston Dynamos and Erica Rose from ABC’s hit show “The Bachelor”. Isla Carrol’s Sergio Silvestre was awarded the Maker’s Mark “Shot of the Day”.
